You live near the great Pacific Ocean, so why not take advantage? There is no better place to tire a kid out than at the beach. Surfing, sailing, playing on the sand in the sun. There are many instructors who offer one day surf lessons. This is ideal for a vacation or a family outing. For those who can devote more time to learn to surf, there are week long surfing classes and camps, even girls surf camps.
