Orange County Halloween
Everyone likes a good fright every now and then, and what better time to celebrate spookiness than Halloween? You can pick a haunted house where the inhabitants will scare you to pieces, or a walking tour where you’ll hear ghost stories and learn a little about the area.
The organizers of these haunted attractions really go all out to make Halloween fun and scary. Teenagers, especially, are eager to have little ‘grown up’ Halloween fun.
Halloween 2012 Orange County
There are several local places to get a good scare on Halloween this year. A few of the Orange County haunts have closed down in the last year or two because the people who ran them just didn’t have time.

Some people, or even neighborhoods start off by decking out their home for Haloween trick or treaters. Each year it gets bigger and more involved until it’s a professional caliber attraction. These are often free or they charge a small amount for a charity.
Others are businesses. They hire actors to dress up and scare visitors and they rent retail space. These tend to stick around from year to year as they make money, allowing people to have the time to run them. They still face space problems though as they rent a space for only a month or so each year. Often you’ll see them move from one location to another.
The biggest, most famous and perhaps the scariest is the world famous Knott’s Halloween Haunt.
Real Haunted Places
There’s another type of scary fun for All Hallows Eve, and that’s to tour some of the most haunted places in Orange County. It could be a forest or a mountain or a historic district with many ghostly stories to tell. It’s slower paced than being chased by a ghoul, but more chilling.
