Acting Academy for Kids
Acting classes for children who wish to act in television, film or theater. Classes are held Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in the late afternoon and evening. Separate classes are offered for ages 6-8, 9-12 and 13-17.
There are spring break and summer camps for kids.
Voice, acting and public speaking lessons are also available.
This academy is affiliated with the Camino Real Playhouse, which stages productions year-round. They are famous for their annual melodrama, where the audience cheers the hero and boos the villian. They even provide foam “rocks” for throwing at the villian when he is particularly evil!
